About the Center
A nonprofit built around one stubborn belief
Every child can learn to read when they are taught the way their brain needs. The Center exists to make that instruction reachable.
Mission
Why the Center exists
The Illuminations Center for Dyslexia is the family-facing part of Illuminations Group. We assess, we teach, and we help parents understand what their child needs and how to ask for it.
As a nonprofit, giving lets us serve families who could not otherwise afford assessment or specialist instruction. That is the direct link between a donation and a reader.
Approach
Structured literacy, without shortcuts
01 /
Evidence-aligned
Instruction follows what reading research supports, not what happens to be in fashion.
02 /
Specialist-delivered
Trained practitioners deliver instruction and interpret assessment findings.
03 /
Family-included
Parents are part of the plan, with language they can carry into school meetings.
Team biographies and credentials will appear here once approved.
Part of something larger
The Center is one of four front doors into Illuminations Group, alongside Literacy Solutions, VTO Reading and Leta Palmiter's work.
